RACE
Be the first to solve the clues and complete the race in and around Godfrey in the first ever A-Maze-Ing Race. You and your team will work together in an intricate race around the Village to decipher mini mysteries about the history and happenings of Godfrey. This is a true treasure hunt. Are you up to the challenge?
The A-Maze-Ing Race will involve up to 15 teams of four participants each that will traverse the Village and surrounding area to solve intricate clues regarding their specific location. The teams will need to perform a specific task at each location in order to get their next clue and continue the race. The first team to solve their ten clues and return to Glazebrook Park will win the grand prize. There will be a prize for the second and third place teams as well. The goal of the A-Maze-Ing Race is to provide a fun opportunity for members of the community to join together in celebrating and promoting our community. It also provides a great team-building exercise for participants in achieving a common goal. The idea is to get people excited about Godfrey!
All participants must be 16 years old or older and provide their own transportation in and around Godfrey. The cost to enter a team of 4 is $50. This will include a team T-shirt for each participant. The A-Maze-Ing Race will take place on September 20, 2008 beginning at 9 am in Glazebrook Park.
