Tree Planting Program
The tree memorial program accepts requests for trees throughout the year to recognize loved ones in conjunction with the local beautification committee, Pirde, Inc. New to the Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department is our Baby Tree Program. Consider planting a baby tree in celebration of a new baby and watch it grow as the child grows.
Anyone wishing to purchase a tree is encouraged to do so at the Parks and Recreation Department or through Pride, Inc. Trees will be planted the following spring and recognized at the annual Arbor Day Celebration at Glazebrook Park on the last Saturday in April. The Arbor Day Celebration will include a memorial dedication ceremony to honor and memorialize those for whom the trees have been dedicated.
