COMMUNICATIONS
Supervisor Mueller reported communication received from Teresa Roth on the personnel manual. Monica Jerrells, Tax Assessor, explained the correspondence of Teresa Roth regarding the benefits allowed for full-time or part-time regular employees.
Supervisor Mueller reported that when the personnel manual was adopted 3
1 /2 years ago the longevity benefit payment was removed at that time. Supervisor Mueller explained the exclusion of the longevity benefits because of the financial situation of the Township, and he did not wish to have that burden for the Township, but if the Board change it that now fine. What Assessor Jerrells brings up is at that point Supervisor Mueller asked for part-time people to receive on-half the benefits of full time employees for vacation and sick leave with that at the time anticipated that the Supervisor’s Office would have a regular part-time employee. The Village does not have regular part-time employees for the most part. So their personnel manual did not provide any part-time benefits.
The Board requested that the consideration on Longevity be place on the agenda for February 7, 2006 meeting.
AUTHORIZE SUPERVISOR TO PREPARE FY07 BUDGET
Supervisor Mueller presented the request to give authorization to Supervisor Mueller to prepare the 2007 Township Budget for the Township Board of Trustees consideration.
