TOWN OF GODFREY, THE BOARD OF TOWN TRUSTEES met at the office of the Town Clerk at 6810 GODFREY ROAD on December 5, 2006.

The Godfrey Town Board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Mueller on December 5, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. at the Godfrey Town Hall, 6810 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL.
Mike McCormick moved for the approval of the minutes of November 6, 2006 meeting, seconded by Jeff Weber. Poll of Board: Ayes-6, Nays-0, Absent-1. Motion carried
APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF BILLS
Mark Stewart moved for the approval of the November 2006 Township bills as follows:
General Fund $ 9,391.58
General Assistance Fund $ 4,205.89
Social Security Fund $ .00
Audit Fund $ .00
Insurance Fund $ .00
IMRF Fund $ 1,387.46
Seconded by Mike McCormick. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Juhlin, Williams, Stewart, McCormick, Weber, Mueller. Nays-None, Absent-Gibson. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATIONS
Supervisor Mueller reported on communication from Liberty Bank regarding the reimbursement on interest payment. Clerk Whisler report that Louis Koeller, longtime resident of Godfrey passed away today.
2007 MEETING & HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Mike McCormick moved for the approval of the 2007 Meeting and Holiday Schedules, seconded by Stewart. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Juhlin, Williams, Stewart, McCormick, Weber. Nays-None, Absent-Gibson. Motion carried.
ORDINANCE GT 02-2006 – 2006-2007 TAX LEVY
Supervisor Mueller presented the 2006 Tax Levy for final consideration. Supervisor Mueller reported that the Levy was a 4.3 % increase. Supervisor Mueller moved for the approval of Ordinance GT-02-2006, Township Tax Levy for 2006-2007 in the amount of $163,780, seconded by Maurice Juhlin. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Juhlin, Williams, Stewart, McCormick, Weber. Nays-None. Absent-Gibson. Motion carried.
OPEN FORUM-PUBLIC
Dennis O’Neal, 5911 Vollmer Lane, asked the Board if the Township Pension Plan was under-funded. Supervisor Mueller reported that yes the pension plan was under-funded due to the establishing of the plan relatively recently. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund allows 26 years for the Township to meet the plan actuarial requirements.
Jerry Gibson arrived at 6:42 p.m.
Mike McCormick moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m., seconded by Mark Stewart. Poll of Board: Ayes-7, Nays-0, Absent-0. Motion carried.
