TOWN OF GODFREY, THE BOARD OF TOWN TRUSTEES met at the office of the Town Clerk at 6810 GODFREY ROAD on January 2, 2008.

The Godfrey Town Board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Doug Mueller on January 2, 2008, at 6:35 p.m. at the Godfrey Town Hall, 6810 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL.
Mark Stewart moved for the approval of the minutes of December 4, 2007 meeting, seconded by Maurice Juhlin. Poll of Board: Ayes-7, Nays-0, Absent-0. Motion carried
APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF BILLS
Jerry Gibson moved for the approval of the December 2007 Township bills as follows:
General Fund $ 9,826.43
General Assistance Fund $ 1,980.69
Social Security Fund $ 1,545.88
Audit Fund $ .00
Insurance Fund $ .00
IMRF Fund $ 1,239.14
Seconded by Mike McCormick. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Juhlin, Williams, Stewart, McCormick, Weber, Gibson, Mueller. Nays-None, Absent-None. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATION
Clerk Whisler report on Voter Registration will end January 8, 2008 and Early Voting for the February 5, 2008 Primary Election will begin on January 22, 2008 to January 31, 2008 at the Village Hall.
HOMESTEAD MAILING POSTAGE APPROVAL
Supervisor Mueller presented the request for Homestead mailing postage of $758.50 for the Assessor Office. Jeff Weber moved for the approval of $758.50 for the Homestead mailing postage for the Township Senior Exemption Program, seconded by Jerry Gibson. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Juhlin, Williams, Stewart, McCormick, Weber, Gibson, Mueller. Nays-None. Absent-None. Motion carried.
TOWNSHIP 2009 BUDGET AUTHORIZATION
Supervisor Mueller asked for authorization to prepare the 2009 Township Budget and Appropriation Ordinance. Michael McCormick moved to give authorization to Supervisor Mueller to prepare the 2009 Township Budget and Appropriation Ordinance, seconded by Mark Stewart. Roll Call Vote: Ayes-Juhlin, Williams, Stewart, McCormick, Weber, Gibson, Mueller. Nays-None. Absent-None. Motion carried.
Jerry Gibson moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:39 p.m., seconded by Mark Stewart. Poll of Board: Ayes-7, Nays-0, Absent-0. Motion carried.
