Concert in the ParkSteve Davis

The Village's free Concerts in the Park at Glazebrook Park are the perfect way to spend a rockin' evening with family, friends and neighbors. The Concerts in the Park are a new tradition put together by the Parks and Recreation Department offered to the public for free. Held at the Whispering Winds Gazebo in lovely Glazebrook Park, the atmosphere just can't be beat. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating, picnic dinners (the concession stand will be open for those of you not wanting to cook), and dancing shoes. Leashed pets are also welcome. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled. The Great Godfrey Triathlon

Great Godfrey Triathlon

The Village of Godfrey is excited to host its first ever triathlon. All athletes are encouraged to participate in this swimming, biking, and running competition. The course will consist of a 500 meter open swim in the Sportsmans' Club lake, a 16 mile bike race through picturesque Godfrey and a 5K cross country run.

Early race packet pick up will be available on Friday, August 28 from 5 - 7 pm at the Godfrey Village Hall. Packets will also be available for pick up on the day of the race beginning at 6 am onsite.

Awards will be handed out for the top three male and female finishers in each age division in addition to the top overall male and female finishers.

Entry fee includes a souvenir t-shirt and complimentary lunch. Lunch will be available for purchase for guests and spectators. Please contact the Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department  at (618) 466-1483 for additional information.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available as well. Please contact the Park and Recreation Department to sponsor the event.

Great Godfrey MazeWicked

In a wicked twist, the Great Godfrey Maze and the Fabulous Fox Theatre are joining forces to promote the magic of the untold story of the Witches of Oz. The 2015 Great Godfrey Maze has been designed to highlight the return of WICKED to St. Louis. After breaking box office records in 2015, WICKED returns the Fabulous Fox Theatre December 9, 2015 – January 3, 2016. Tickets for the WICKED Great Godfrey Maze are available onsite beginning September 4, 2015. Single tickets for WICKED at the Fox will go on sale at a later date.

The Great Godfrey Maze will celebrate the grand opening of its sixteenth A-MAZE-ING season with a ribbon cutting on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 6 pm. The Great Godfrey Maze will continue to be open on the weekends through October 31, 2015.  The maze is located in Glazebrook Park in the heart of Godfrey, IL, at 1401 Stamper Lane, less than 40 miles from downtown St. Louis. Beginning on October 2, an additional haunted maze will open after dark on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Run For Rescue

Join Hope Rescues for the third annual Run for Rescue and one mile Mutt Strut at Glazebrook Park on Saturday, October 3, 2015. The run will begin on the ballfield end of Glazebrook Park.

Each runner must complete registration form and sign waiver. You can register online at www.active.com or email melodymcgowan61@gmail.comt for registration & pledge form.

5K/1 Mile Mutt Strut Course Both courses take place at the beautiful Glazebrook Park located at w 1401 Stamper Lane in Godfrey, IL, taking runners through a breath-taking trail. Pet and people friendly leashed dogs are welcome to join walkers. All canine participants must be spayed/neutered and current on all vaccinations.
